Late May at Fuji Classic, and the mountain actually showed. Groups rolled out under a high blue sky — the kind of morning that makes the drive from Tokyo feel like nothing at all.
Range balls, a few practice putts, and off the first in waves. Nobody hurried, and everybody had found their rhythm by the third hole.
Mt Fuji cleared for the morning. Nobody argued with it.
