Grandfields Country Club on an early-June morning — cedar-lined fairways, deep bunkers, and a course that rewards a patient round.
Grandfields wears its age well. The fairways run between tall cedars, the bunkering is proper, and the whole place asks you to think rather than swing hard.

Off the first under soft cloud, the group settled quickly. This is a course that reveals itself hole by hole, and the greens rewarded anyone who stayed patient.

A course that asks you to think, not just swing.

Lunch in the old clubhouse, then a quiet back nine as the light softened. Grandfields is one of our favourite days out — ask us about a tee time.
