What we preserve
Naruo Golf Club was founded in 1920 in Inagawa, north of Kobe, by members of the original Kobe Golf Club seeking a course closer to Osaka. The layout was redesigned with Charles H. Alison's input in the early 1930s, giving the course the deep, sand-faced bunkers that are still its defining feature. Naruo is one of only a handful of pre-1930 Japanese clubs whose original character has survived intact, and consistently ranks in Japan's top five. The site's rolling pine-forested terrain, narrow corridors, and small undulating greens make precision off the tee essential. Member-only access.
