What we preserve
Kasumigaseki Country Club opened in 1929 in Kawagoe, Saitama, founded by a group of Tokyo industrialists who wanted a major championship venue within easy reach of the capital. The East Course was substantially redesigned by Charles H. Alison in 1932 — his bunker work here, alongside Hirono and Kawana, defined classical Japanese course architecture. Kasumigaseki hosted the men's and women's golf competitions at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, with Xander Schauffele winning gold on the East Course. Two 18-hole layouts (East and West) are maintained to international championship standards. Member-only access.
