Ochiairo

Ochiairo unfolds along the Amagi valley — a registered cultural property of gates, gardens and a suspension bridge over the river, at its most atmospheric after dark.

Each room carries a name. Many open onto a private open-air bath, and some frame the valley or Mt. Fuji through the trees.

Three named baths — Hoshi, Tengu and Tsuki — each paired with its own sauna (tea-room, Tengu, Hoshi), plus a barrel sauna and a cold plunge. A serious recovery ritual after a round.

A private one-building villa with its own irori sauna — the setting for a group, or a stay entirely to yourselves.

Kaiseki that turns with the seasons, the house wasabi rice, breakfast, and a steak house — served in private and semi-private rooms.

Lounge, reading room and the shitan alcove — the craftsmanship of a registered cultural property runs through the interiors.
