River Course Rusutsu

River Course is the companion to the Wood Course, also designed by U.S. Open champion Curtis Strange and opened in 1992. The par-72 layout plays 6,107 yards from the white tees across gently hilly terrain with little elevation change hole-to-hole, and its variety of pin positions lets golfers of any level dial the difficulty up or down at will. Signature moments include the scenic short par-3 6th played over a pond and the water-guarded 12th, all framed by birch forest and the crisp, breezy Hokkaido air that makes summer golf here so addictive.
