Wood Course is the longest and most classically wooded layout of the four, designed by former U.S. Open champion Curtis Strange and opened in 1992. The par-72 course plays 6,817 yards from the white tees through dense stands of birch and Hokkaido hardwoods, with tight tree-lined corridors, gently tilted fairways, and strategic bunkering that reward precise driving and thoughtful course management. Its forested, mountain-like feel and cool alpine air give the Wood Course a very different character from its sister layouts — a quieter, more immersive round that many players consider the resort's most memorable test.
