Fuji Classic
Yamanashi, Mt. Fuji, Japan
18 holes · Par 72 · 7,171 yds · Desmond Muirhead · Opened 1995
Course rating 72 · Links
Each hole draws inspiration from Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji — a links-style layout at 1,200 m elevation with unobstructed Fuji views and bentgrass greens.
Fuji Classic sits at roughly 1,200 metres on the flanks of Mount Fuji, with every hole designed by Desmond Muirhead to echo one of Katsushika Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji. The links-inspired routing pairs bentgrass greens and ryegrass fairways with uninterrupted views of the mountain, and the clubhouse offers dining and lodging.
