Why we host here

Grand Fields is where course architecture meets Japanese garden craft. Designed by a renowned Japanese gardening company, it feels like you're playing golf inside a living garden—framed vistas, careful stonework, and tranquil water lines. The back nine feature classic halfway houses serving authentic matcha and traditional snacks, a ritual you'll only find in Japan. Add a history of hosting prestigious tournaments, and you get a course that rewards true golfers while delivering an experience you can't get anywhere else. It's one of our favorites for a reason.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get to the course?+

Grand Fields is in Mishima, Shizuoka, and the Shinkansen is the easiest way there. Take it from Tokyo or Shinagawa to Mishima Station, then a taxi from the station to the course (about 20 minutes, at your own expense). Plan to reach Mishima Station at least 60 minutes before your tee time. We don't run a van to this course — once your tee time is confirmed we'll send you suggested trains.

How much is each Tour or Event?+

Event costs vary depending on the golf course and package. Please check the specific event page for exact pricing.

Can I choose my rental clubs?+

Yes. Choose the fit you want — men's or ladies', right- or left-handed, stiff or regular flex — when you purchase your player's ticket. Bringing your own clubs? Select “No Rental Club Needed.” Our full fleet is listed set by set, club by club, on our Rental clubs page. If there's a particular set you'd like, tell us after booking and we'll have it waiting at the first tee.

What does the fee include?+

Typically, the fee covers green fees, cart, and PRESERVE goods such as ball markers and tees. Please review the event page for exact details.

Can I bring a friend or partner who won't be playing golf?+

In most cases, yes. If you're bringing someone, please purchase a spectator ticket for them.

Do I need to speak Japanese?+

No. Each event includes a bilingual local expert who speaks both Japanese and English, so you can enjoy the round without language barriers.

What skill level is required?+

Welcomes a range of golfers. While most courses do not require a specific handicap, we recommend that participants can comfortably complete 18 holes without slowing down the pace of play. (Please check each event page for handicap requirement)

Group size varies by event. The minimum is 4 players per group, with larger formats depending on the course and event.
